Program
The day begins with a walk along Corso Matteotti (the ancient part of Via Lauretana inside the town walls) to discover one of the main monuments of “Il Paese del Garbo” (the town of courtesy, politeness). Crossing the medieval Piazza del Grano we will then arrive at the Palazzo Corboli Museum. Here you can find the many works of art created by the greatest Sienese artists from the 14th to the 16th century: Ambrogio Lorenzetti, the Master of the Observance, Matteo di Giovanni, Rutilio Manetti and precious wooden sculptures such as those of Giovanni Pisano and Francesco di Valdambrino together with a collection of Etruscan finds  coming from the various archaeological complexes in the area. Lunch in a restaurant (first, second, side dish, dessert, water and wine).

In the early afternoon, free transfer to the Monte Oliveto Maggiore Abbey (8km) and guided tour. The fourteenth-century abbey has dominated the rugged landscape of the Crete Senesi for seven hundred years. Decorated with frescoes by Sodoma and Signorelli, it represents an example of Renaissance painting in the Sienese land. End of our services
