Program

The holiday offers the possibility to visit two beautiful Tuscan towns as  Siena and San Gimignano and to discover some flavours of real Tuscan cuisine.

Program:

Day 1: arrival of customers in the late morning and lunch in a restaurant in San Gimignano. If you have time in the morning we advise to visit Monteriggioni,  the fortified medieval village, built to guard the entrance to the territory of the ancient Republic of Siena.

In the afternoon tour of San Gimignano.  This tour is made to give the visitors the opportunity of seeing this medieval  Tuscan gem city through its history, art and local flavours, taking the visitors cross its main streets as well as the tiny, little alleyways normally hidden to crowds. At the end transfer to Siena, accommodation in hotel, dinner and overnight.

 

Day 2: Breakfast at the hotel. At h10.15, tasting of cake at the historic Pasticceria Nannini, in via Banchi di Sopra (the main street of the city). Then at h11.00 meeting with the guide in Piazza Il Campo and guided tour of Siena. this tour touches all the historical and cultural landmarks of the town. From the world wide famous Piazza del Campo where the Palio horse race takes place, to the historical building of the Monte dei Paschi bank, to the Tolomei palace or the Chigi Saracini one- now a Music Academy. Not to mention the church of San Domenico, Santa Maria della Scala Museum or the Cathedral Santa Maria Assunta. After the tour, lunch in the restaurant and end of our services.

Guided half day  tour of Siena (2 hours, entrance to the cathedral  or Santa Maria della Scala Museum included)
